Advocacy is broad in definition but it is generally important because it can change society misconceptions and attitude. It can also aid people to access resources and information. Advocacy also makes service providers and institutions transparent and accountable in their decisions and actions.
My action plan is to deliver blue ribbons in honor of child neglect victims, around my school that have CAN facts on them to make people aware of the issue and how important it is. The fact sheet will include resources and statistics. Going around my school advocating about child neglect makes more people believe that the issue is serious and of importance.
